History: POTATO.. The Parents of Twins and Triplets Organization of Nashville, Tennessee was founded in November 1975 by a small group of mothers of twins and triplets. The group was formed to share experiences, education and to offer support for parents of twins, triplets and more. Over the past decades, this non-profit support group has grown to a rather large group and offers a unique understanding of the challenges and rewards of parenting multiples.

We are a chartered member of the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs (NOMOTC), which provides us with the latest research and medical findings as well as networking with other groups. The founders of POTATO would be proud to know that their efforts and objectives are still very much appreciated and continue after all these years.

Membership: Dues are $25.00 annually, payable in August; however, they are prorated for new members who join in other months. Membership is free to families with Quads and beyond, or more than one set of multiples. Membership offers many things...

Meetings: We offer free babysitting and refreshments at each meeting. We offer guest speakers on relevant topics, as well as cope/outreach which allows for group discussions offering support and "been there, done that" advice.

Newsletter: A monthly newsletter is published to keep all members up to date on club activities. Members may advertise "For Sale" and "Wanted" items. This publication is a lifeline for those unable to attend the meetings.

Library: A wide variety of books, booklets, articles, and magazines on twin-related topics and parenting are available to our members at each meeting.

Warm-line phone service: Talk to our "experienced" volunteers about pregnancy, bed rest, premature delivery, breastfeeding, toilet training, and much more.

Nationwide Network: We are a member of the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Club (NOMOTC). With your POTATO membership, you will receive Mothers of Twins Clubs Notebook, bimonthly.
